Fun in the Water
Guests at campsite De Reeënwissel can enjoy plenty of water fun! You will have free access to the nearby outdoor swimming pool (open from late May to late August), perfect for a refreshing dip or relaxing on the sunbathing lawn.
For even more water activities, the stunning Blue Lake - Drenthe’s most beautiful recreational lake - is just a short bike ride away. Here, for a small fee, you can spend a wonderful day swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the natural surroundings.

There’s something for everyone at the campsite! Young children can enjoy the playgrounds, an adventure forest with a zip line, and an interactive football wall. During school holidays, as well as on Ascension and Pentecost weekends, the entertainment team organises a varied programme filled with sports, games, and creative activities
Older children can enjoy the F1 simulator, table tennis, or table football. For those who love adventure, a 50 km mountain bike trail awaits. Adults can relax with live music and theatre evenings, unwind at the cosy brasserie, or explore the region, which boasts highlights such as the famous TT Circuit and several stunning national parks.
Horse enthusiasts will love the on-site FNRS riding school, where they can even bring their own horse and ride straight into the beautiful Drents-Friese Wold.

Campsite De Reeënwissel is located next to the stunning Drents-Friese Wold National Park and is surrounded by three other national parks: Dwingelderveld, Drentsche Aa, and Weerribben-Wieden. The picturesque villages of Appelscha, Diever, and Dwingeloo offer a mix of culture and history, with the Koloniën van Weldadigheid also nearby.
Families can enjoy WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo Emmen and Plopsa Indoor Coevorden. The Belevingspad Hoogersmilde offers a unique walking experience through the park, including a real aeroplane to climb into. Cyclists can explore an extensive network of bike routes, and there are plenty of well-marked walking trails through nature, passing heathlands and forests.
