Campsite Kinzigtal is located in the heart of the Black Forest, making it possible to go on wonderful cycling and walking tours (also guided). You can also explore the beautiful surroundings on horseback. The campsite is a 15-minute walk to Steinach (approx. 1 mi), where you can enjoy delicious food and/or drinks.
Looking for a fun outdoor activity for the whole family? Then head to the town Gutach (approx. 10 mi) where you will find a very nice toboggan run. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings the Black Forest has to offer during the approx. 2 mi. descent. You can easily combine this activity with a visit to the adjacent playground and a visit to the terrace where you can enjoy a snack and a drink.
Also a must see is the old silver mine in Haslach-Schnellingen (approx. 3 mi). During a guided tour, you will get to see the world at underground level. This activity is also suitable for families with children aged 4 and over. Or visit the historic village of Gengenbach (approx. 9 mi), characterised by its wooden houses and numerous restaurants where you can enjoy delicious local dishes.
From the campsite you can also visit the French city of Strasbourg (approx. 33 mi). In this city you will find Strasbourg's Notre Dame, a beautiful Gothic cathedral that is a Unesco World Heritage Site. This special appearance in the city is characterised by its beautiful architecture. It is also well worth visiting the inside of the cathedral with its beautiful stained-glass windows and the main attraction: the astronomical clock.
