Knaus Campingpark Viechtach is a 4-star campsite in the Bavarian Forest. The campsite is located in the middle of a lush, green environment, where one can hike and experience true German forestry. Viechtach is an officially recognized “air spa resort”, so enjoy the wonderfully clean air at the campsite. Stay at the campsite in a comfortable bungalow tent, complete with beds, a dining table and even a kitchen.
Activities
Camping Viechtach has a lovely indoor heated swimming pool . You can also swim in the nearby swimming pool, where you can enter for free with the tourist tax card. The city bus and the four Waldbahn lines and regular buses are also free with the tourist tax card. There are a number of active facilities available at the campsite, such as billiards, bocce court, table football, table tennis and a playground for smaller children. There is also a kids club and youth disco on the campsite.
During the season there is regular excursions to the beer brewery and horse-drwan carriage (for a fee). In the neighborhood of Viechtach you have the possibility to go fitness, tennis and mini-golf. There is even a toboggan run near the campsite, where you can slide down the mountain at high speeds. For the outdoor enthusiasts, Camping Viechtach is the ideal base for a holiday. Enjoy the many hiking trails in the beautiful green forest of Viechtach. When you return to the campsite after a day full of activities, relax in the sauna or the infrared cabin (for a fee).
Several times a week there is evening entertainment, as bingo, mini disco, livemusic, etc. There is even a line- and country dancing festival in August. Knaus camping Viachtach offers a service for bread and had aa restaurant with delicious burgers, cocktaisl and pizza. Naxt tot the entrance you will found another restaurant serving typical local dishes.

If you are looking for a campsite where four-legged friends are allowed, then you must be at Campingpark Viechtach. There are plenty of facilities for your dog such as free running areas for the dog and even special dog showers. By appointment, you can even hire a dog trainer (for a fee).
You will be warmly welcomed at this campsite by the campsite reception. They take care of check-in and check-out and you can contact the campsite reception for any questions. There is no Rent-a-Tent manager on site at this campsite.

Directly next to the campsite Viechtach begin many hiking trails that take you to the romantic valley of the '' Black Rain '', the reservoir Höllenstein and the quartz formations of the Grossen Pfahls. The 30 meter high "WaldWipfelWeg" is also recommended, this is Germany's highest treetop walk.
About an hour from the campsite you will be in the city of Regensburg. Regensburg is one of the preserved medieval towns and oldest cities in Germany. The old town and Stadtamhof district have even been declared a World Heritage Site. You can also admire the Regensburger Dom, Sankt Emmeram Castle, the old town hall, various churches and much more in the city.
If you are hungry after a long and active day, of course you can have a bite at the campsite, but in the town of Viechtach you will find plenty of opportunities to find a nice restaurant to tast the local specialties.
