The Franche Comté is a pristine area in the eastern part of France. Rivers cut through a beautiful, forest rich hilly terrain. This terrain is perfect for those who seek peace and quite during their holiday. As you can walk or bike through this terrain and explore all the beauty this region has to offer. Due to all the lakes, it is also a perfect area for those who love water sports, with the 4 lakes in walking distance from the campsite. It is possible to take a day trip to Vosges or Jura where the mountains are little higher, or go to the friendly wine area of the Elzas. For those who love to explore big cities we recommend visiting Besançon with its citadel or Belfort with its old city centre. If you love modern architecture we recommend to visit the pilgrimage chapel in Ronchamp from the famous architect Le Corbusier.
