Campsite Domaine d'Oléron is located on the island of Ile d'Oléron. This island is in the midst of a wooded terrain. The outskirts of the island are long beaches! During the season it can be pretty busy on the island, however the campsite is quietly located and still everything you need is within hands reach! The campsite offers a restaurant, bar and snack shack. You can also find the convenience store to cook your own food right at your tent! There are laundry facilities, as well.


The children will enjoy the swimming pool with a seperate children's pool and a slide. We are sure that your children will love this campsite. In a small distance you will find the sea to cool off and afterwards you can go sunning on the beautiful sand beach. Sports and games will complete the holiday for your children, camping Domaine d'Oléron is a cosy family campsite with during the season a fun entertainment program. Other activities to enjoy are Petanque, ping pong and a playground for the kids. During July and August, day an evening activities are available for the whole family! Children can paint, participate in theatre, go on treasure hunts, practice woodcarving or jump on bouncy houses. Teens and adults can participate in a morning “muscle wake up”, where you’ll join in the pool for a quick exercise. In the evenings, you can take part in sports tournaments and group games, such as volleyball. Every night, entertainment for young and old is available, such as cabaret, magic shows, live music concerts and even the lotto evenings.

This functional bungalow tent has a surface of 26 m² and can accommodate up to 6 people (4 adults and 2 children up to 13 years old). The bungalow tent has two sleeping cabins (the second sleeping cabin can be split up) and a spacious living area. In one of the two lockable sleeping cabins there is a double bed (140x190cm). The other cabin accommodates two single beds (80x190cm). If you book with more people an extra bed will be added. Pillows and duvets are provided. The separate kitchen area is equipped with a 4-burner stove, a fridge-freezer and kitchenware. Outside you will find a table, chairs and umbrella.

Ile d'Oléron is, after Corsica, the largest island of France. From of the beach you can see the special and famous Fort Boyard. The fort is 67 yards (61 m.) long, 34 yards (31 m.) in width and 22 yards (20 m.) in height. The fort was built by Napoleon and used to be a protection against the English. Another attraction that is well-known and definitely worth the visit is Saint Georges, a former monastery city from the 10th century (the church is still in use). By bike you can use one of the many bicycle paths that this island offers, and in the north you find a biking trail between Saint-Denis-d'Oléron and the lighthouse of Chassiron. Try the bicycle path in the south around Château d'Oléron. If you combine this with a picnic, you’ll have a relaxing and sportive day at once! A popular thing to do on Ile d’Oleron is to take a boat trip through the ocean. You can also visit one of the many attractions on the island, such as Le Marais aux Oiseaux, where you can stroll and see many small animals. Another option is Le Parc Myocastor, the castle called Château d'Oléron, Les Jardins de la Boirie, or if you’d like to learn the history of the island, visit Le Musée de L'ile d'Oléron. If you like seafood, this campsite is perfect for you. Ile d'Oléron is world famous for fishing and the oyster nurseries. In one of the many restaurants you can eat delicious, fresh fish and crustaceans. Or visit the harbour of La Cotinière where you can buy fresh langoustines and shrimp!
