Campsite La Rivière is a small-scale and cosy campsite in Dordogne, France. As the campsite name suggests, you’ll be right on the river. Once you’ve arrived on the campsite, the first things you will notice are the 16th century Perigordian house, the charming terrace under the trees and the three swimming pools on site that will instantly give you that holiday feeling. Choose from the infinity pool (20m x 10m), the heated swimming pool (8m x 4m) or for the children, the 1,60m deep paddling pool (10m x 3m). All the Rent-a-Tent pitches on La Rivière are surrounded by trees, which provide you with shade and additional privacy.

Camping La Rivière provides you with many activities and animations for the whole family. All season, you’ll find a half sized tennis court, table tennis, volleyball, a boules area, walking trails, mountain biking, horseback riding and of course the leisure area by the Vézère River. During the high season, La Rivière organises children’s games and shows, caving and rock climbing excursions and musical entertainment.

La Rivière is very close to the city of Les Eyzies, which we surely recommend to go visit at least once. Chances are you’ll want to visit again! The best thing? You can walk along the bridge from the campsite to the city centre of Les Eyzies. Here you’ll find restaurants that serve authentic cuisine or you have the possibility to go shopping. Maybe you know Les Eyzies from the old drawings of prehistoric man, which were discovered in 1863. After a short walk you will reach the bank of the Vézère River. In walking distance of the campsite you can rent a canoe from a rental company, where they will bring you up the stream so you can paddle back to the campsite!
